Changed Plugs Now No Start ?
I swapped in a set of plugs on my 71 C-20, 307 now it won't start ? It was running crappy and the plugs where pretty fouled. It has gas at carb but it just won't fire, it tries too start but won't ? Crazy because it's bone stock and has been reliable for years. Any suggestions ?

Plug wires connected to wrong plug(s)? Trace wires from the distributor. Check and double check. How old are the wires?

Make sure the coil wire didn't get bumped. Jim

Electrical things can go at any time.Got spark? if not coil? Points Condenser in distributor, knocked a wire off the coil/plug wires on wrong? Sorry for the long list but in my years I've been/done all of them.Just changing plugs didn't do that.something went away out of your control.

Re: Changed Plugs Now No Start ?
Pull the coil wire from the distributer and lay it on top of the cap above the hole. Have someone turn the engine over. You should see and hear the ark going into the distributer cap. That will tell you if you have fire. If you have fire there, then check for ark at the plugs. If you have it there, then check the fuel supply. Remember, you have to have fire and gas to make the engine run.
