1969 C10 VIN question
Can someone help explain what the 8 in my 69 C10 VIN means?
CS149B829793. I understand the VIN thru the letter B but from what I've seen on line there should be a 1 where the 8 is for the serial number and the truck would then be the 29,793 truck built in Baltimore that year. |
Re: 1969 C10 VIN question
1969 Chevrolet light duty truck VINs started at 800001.
There were variations in the order sequence numbers were actualy assembled. More or less yes, your truck is about the twentynine thousandth seven hundred and ninety third truck built in Baltimore for the 1969 MY. :-) Welcome to the board and now you owe us a picture of your truck! |

Re: 1969 C10 VIN question
I usually post my photos using photobucket. Its both a website and an app for your phone. You can search up around a 1-3 minute video on how to upload photos from it. It isnt hard at all, just hard for me to explain lol.

If GMCs were also built in Baltimore then they would also be progressing up in their own VIN sequence, pushing the manifest build sequence number of your truck higher. K |
