Front Wheel Bearings and Rotors
 

No clue what previous owner did with front wheel parts except went from 1968to disk brakes and rotors.

How can I determine what rotor and bearings for a full replacement. I have noticed at parts suppliers there are differences between 1970 and 1972 model years.

The bearings you remove will have the part numbers stamped on them. You need a inner seal too. Maybe able to have the rotor turned down to save a little money.

1970 didn't have disc, so you more than likely have the 71-72 rotors.

Determine the brand of the spindle, it may be GM or possibly a GM clone from ECE or CPP, this will point you in the right direction.
If it's GM then it's stock 71-72 and you can just buy stock bearings but be aware that GM also has a HD spindle that uses a larger bearing set than the standard duty spindle and in that case you will need to use a caliper and measure I.D. of the old bearings to make sure you are getting the correct replacement.
If it is ECE or CPP you will need to call them to find out what bearings and rotors you will need for the replacements to ensure proper fit.

early 70's trucks had two size rotors. one was 1" the other 1.25". That was the main difference. Bearings were as said above different also
