I noticed nobody else wanted to talk about the "elephant in the room", so I will. That bed looks a little goofy with so little in front of the wheel opening and so much behind. Kinda looks to me like about 8 t0 10 inches need to go and she will quite possibly look good. :metal:
JMO, no offense meant.

none taken the point of this site is to get opinions and yours is a good one
you are out on how much needs to come off the back it is about 3 inches that i need to cut out to match a blazer box my box is now 77 inches and need to be about 74 to match a blazer minus the 2in for the cab part not on a blazer .
now i decided not to cut the 3in out because the box mount bolts at the back happened to land right at the end of the frame. and the pic doesnt do it any justice i got goose bumps after i put the box on i will get a better pic of it outside in the open when i can you will see it looks pretty good and really suits the rest of the truck.
ps if you look at a extended cab colorado it only has about 6in in front of the wheel and about a foot and a half in the back .and engineers did that lol

Well good luck to you. At least you will have one you can say at any show n shine, "nobody else has one just like it". I am also kinda fond of something different. I am building a 68 1 ton dually short bed step side. I cannot find another 68-72 like it "Anywhere". I have searched extensively. I have wondered if nobody ever did one ever cause they didn't think of it, or it it's a freak show? We'll see. The jury is still out.
