Does anyone have a rattle can paint number or color, Krylon, Duplicolor, Tremclad or any other vendor that is the proper color for an original rim like the 1969 one in attached pic.

This thread may help:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=620516 However, even though I'm not using the original 8 lug wheels on my 69, I restored them using Rust-Oleum gloss white High Performance Enamel. Probably a bit too white, but I doubt anyone would notice. Jim |
Re: Paint Code
Thanks for the link FO69, I think the gloss white you used will be great and work for me if I can't find the GM paint.

Re: Paint Code
Tip..if you want to paint your rims with the tires on, use a deck of playing cards around the rim...;)

Re: Paint Code
That's a great tip...

Re: Paint Code
Rustoleum has a white called "Dove White" in rattle can that is sort of a light cream white. That's the first thing that came to mind when I saw the picture in the OP.

Re: Paint Code
I'll check out the Dove White thanks an the rims will be painted with no tires on but thanks for the card tip anyway.
