16.5 x 8.25 Chrome Wagon wheels
4 Attachment(s)
UPDATED PRICE as of 15 MAY16:
LOCAL PICKUP: FREE SHIPPED CONUS: $180 (They're WAY heavy) Not sure of the brand - caps indicate Western, I believe, but I couldn't find any mfgr stampings inside the wheels. One has some flaking/rust on the inside where the air goes. The insides clean up with some elbow grease, the outsides cleaned up very well. Note that the caps are for a 4x4 and that one is a little bent/out of round. These were just removed from my 76 K20 (center caps and all - the one with the ding/out of round did not rub the locking hub), held air fine, etc. $150 local pickup / $235 shipped CONUS. |

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Chrome Wagon wheels
Those are actually cool. Center caps are generic, cheap, and very available. I don't even tun them on my 4wds. If these were 9.75s I would bite. Someone should pop these on their C/20 (or K/20) with 88-98 chrome center caps.

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Chrome Wagon wheels
I agree Tim - I prefer no caps also. Some folks like em and they came with the wheels, so I included them. If I were to have kept these on the k20, I'd probably have ditched the caps. The wheels themselves are pretty darn heavy duty. Now that I got them all cleaned up, I'm tempted to put them back on the truck - they cleaned up much nicer than I'd hoped, in very good condition for a chrome wheel this old. They sat on my k20 in CA for eons, so that could be why.

Eric, here's some pics. The ones of the orange 76 are the actual rims before they were polished up so you can get an idea. The tires on the orange 76 were 31" BFG ATs in front and BFG MTs in back.
Here are some options: Modern Radial on/off road BF Goodrich All Terrain KO: 56149 35x12.50R16.5/D (rim width range 8.25-10.5) http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-...ires#techspecs Old school on/OFF road bias ply (my personal favorite - and what I plan to put on the 76 on steelies (the 9.50s)) STA Super Traxion 10-16.5LT (made specifically for the 8.25" rim) STA Super Traxion 9.50-16.5LT (rim width range 6.75-8.25) (a slightly taller, slightly skinnier tire than the 10-16.5) http://www.stausaonline.com/tires/sta-super-traxion/ Highway radial Firestone TransForce HT 9.50-16.5 (rim width range 6.75-8.25) http://www.firestonetire.com/tires/t.../transforce-ht (click on SPECS-see all) 1st 3 pics are the above tires in order, 4th is what they looked like with a 31" BFG AT T/A Last pic is a 9.50-16.5 Super Traxion (mil cucv) Yes, a little harder to find, but they are out there. I am removing these rims and going with steelies, but sticking with factory 16.5 diameter. Hope this helps! |

I am! In fact, just drove thru Brownwood not long ago returning from San Angelo where I bought some buckets for a 76. We'll have to cross paths eventually.

A little too far for me and no time. A shame to see em go to scrap.

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Chrome Wagon wheels
I can't bring myself to toss em. No time to dork around with shipping lately - come and get them for free. Need the space. (yes, I said free)

Re: 16.5 x 8.25 Chrome Wagon wheels
Every time I see this listing I wish I could buy them. I hate that my budget runs so tight anymore. You don't want these laying around and I can't be buying something to have lay around. The price is right, even with shipping. These are perfect for a well worn, patina, unrestored, or whatever truck for a look that says, "untouched from back in the day". That's how I do my trucks till I restore them. I was the first guy to dislike white wagon wheels that were everywhere and got away from them. The chrome would rust around here on a DD, so stayed with painted. But these trucks for most are occasional drivers now. When I bought my K/20 Highlander I had a set of powder coated 16.5 steelies for it already. But, 4WPH was running a buy 3 get 4 deal on ProComps and they only offered 16s, so I went with wagon wheels to stay cheap. I like the Bart style steel wheels and even the d-holes better, but the wagon wheels are era correct and I think they nailed the look I was after. These wheels would do the same. I wish I was passing anywhere near. I'd spring for 50 smackers in a NY minute
