Bezel and guages progress pic
 

About have the bezel done. Need to get the wiper and headlights letters outlined in silver and wire it up. I think the white faced gauges will look awesome against the white dash.

Used a couple LED's from Radio Shack for the turn signal lights.

Got the dash bezel from Barn9 for a coule bucks + lunch. Couple coats of paint and it was looking good.

Those are easy to read gauges and I like the layout.

My favorite gauge is in the lower left corner!. Looks great!!!!

Don't forget to put a bright light indicator on there. I used a little LED from radio shack for mine.

I was just looking at the pictures page. And i have seen your buddie's white dually in Andover before. I tried to chase him down, but was stuck at a light on 400, and couldn't catch up. Is that just a newer dually frame under it, or is it converted?

I put it along with the warning lights in the hole where your oil pressure guage is.

David, It's a 1 ton frame that he converted to 4wd. Real talented guy. He did all my rust repairs for me.

Yukon Jack, what size is that oil pressure gauge? Oh and by the way good job!

The oil gauge is 3 3/8. The large gauges are 5" and the small ones are 2 5/8".

That looks familar. I did mine back in Dec of last year.

This is my buddies dash. He put the high beam indicator above the fuel gauge.

has anyone put a dakota digital bezel in, I have the opertunity to get one for $300 never used, is this a good price, and what do they look like?:confused:

I've never seen one in use but I hear they are difficult to read when sun hits them. I believe they have a website.

is it easy to install those gages in the bezel, I like the way yours looks, with the white face. I bought 6 diff. white face with indiglo to fit the various holes, is there anything I have to watch out for, and is it easy to change the wiring?

The 2 5/8" gauges fit after you remove the silver part of the gauge holes. The speedo, tach and oil gauge holes do not need to be modified. I won't be at the point of wiring the sending units for a while. So far all I have wired is the postive and negative wires for the gauge lights.

I have the bezel already painted, so I guess I just have to put it together. I have not even open the boxes with the gages in them, so when I do that, I suppose that I will understand what you mean.

Which size gauges are you using for the small gauge holes. Mine are 2 5/8" and the one's ackattack has pictured above are 2 1/16". If you look at his picture you can see that his gauges sit down in the hole while my gauges sit flush with the bezel. The silver slanted area of the guage hole has to be removed to make the 2 5/8" gauges fit. Hope that makes more sense.

dude you are killing me ! :D Now I need to go out and spend somecash and make mine like that, well close to that. Would it work on a dash that has the tack already in it? Looking good yukon, really good !:D

I used a coulple of terminal strips glues to part of the original metal backing on mine, and ran wires from there. I also used 2 6 wire trailer harnesses...that way I just unplug 2 connectors, the speedo and headlights and it all pops out pretty quick.

I don't have any pics of the back of mine, it's pretty simple to wire, but there ends up being quite a few wires.

For my tach, I used a drum sander on my dremel and opened up the hole a little so it set back in a little more (I did this after I took the above picture). I'll be getting the speedo to match in a month or two.

I wanna play too. Still a work in progress (have no turn signals or bright light indicator)
