Angle strips on the bed sides
 

I have a 71 Chevy SWB step and the angle strips mounted to the bed are in rough shape. What is the best way to repair or replace them to put the wood back in the bed. Any help would be appreciated.

The easy way is to install strip covers. Depends on what your going for.

The "best" way is to drill out the spot welds, remove the old angle strips and puddle weld in new ones. Mar-K has good instructions on how to ensure you get them back in the right place.
