69 cab to be made for 68

I have a 68 and am looking at a 69 donor truck. So I know the parking brake is different, is that easy to change over? Any other differences between the year??

First of all.. Welcome to the forum!
Yes the parking brake is an easy change, you just have to drill/file the hole in the firewall for the emergency brake cable, the rest is a bolt on. The only other real difference is the wiper switch on the 69 is on the passenger side of the instrument cluster, and the headlight switch is in the top location instead of under the wiper switch like in the 68

Thank you! I saved up money to buy a new truck but realized I don't like the modern stuff too much.... Ok so I'll make a template on the old cab for It. I'll use the 68 instrument cluster and that'll take care of that as well correct?

One small / large thing that everyone overlooks is the windshield opening on a 67-68 cab has the indent for the rubber seal all the way around , 69 up it go's flat at the top. Very small thing , no problem , everything fits , just a small point that very few will even notice.

Ok, Now I am going to have to go out and compare my 68 and 69 for that difference!
I have been dealing with 67-72 trucks for over 30 years and never noticed that item... I learned something new today. Thanks!!
