86 c10 front suspension swap (street/strip)
Ok so I'm having a hard time finding a complete IFS swap for an 86 c10.
I'm looking for something tubular but not a drop member. Looking to shed some weight in the front and have better handling. Something with adjustable coilovers and something that I can chsnge out shocks. Also if anyone has links to hang weld in rest subframe to back half our trucks it would be appreciated. |

Check out Fat Man Fabrications. I included the link to the 73-87 chevy truck page. They have what your looking for.

Re: 86 c10 front suspension swap (street/strip)
You know they make two dropmembers right? One is for air bags the other is protouring with coil overs. You have http://nolimit.net/ he don't have it listed for the 73-87 but the one from the 63-72 should bolt in, http://www.scottshotrods.com/ has one, http://www.jimmeyerracing.com/index.shtml has one

Both scotts and nolimit have rear weld in link kits.

Re: 86 c10 front suspension swap (street/strip)
Does anyone have a good reference of installing a rear subframe? Most I've seen at the front of the subframe have two long pieces of metal that extend outwards. Would it be a matter of boxing it to a place on my frame then possibly making triangular supports?

Are you trying to tube it and go pro street?Or you just want a 4 link and wider rear wheels to a point?
