Hi everyone!

I´m Henning from Northern Germany and the proud owner of this truck.
It was imported to Germany in 2012 an I bought it in april 2015.
Because gas is very expensive in Europe (5,70$/gallon) I converted the truck to lpg/propane (2,50$/gallon).
Next projects will be a new wooden floor for the bed and removing some small rust issues. I ordered building plans from glen-l for a camper shell.

It runs a 350/350 combination and I use it as a daily driver from april until november.

Welcome Henning. Glad to have you here. Nice truck you got there. Must get quite a bit of attention?
Feel free to throw out any questions you have as there is a gigantic brain trust of knowledge on these old trucks on this message board.
What is the market like for these old trucks over in your area?
Keep us posted on progress. Especially if your countryside is in the background. Most of us will never get to Germany, so we can check out both at the same time.

Hello Wayne,

a truck like mine with a german registration costs ab 11.000$. There are only a few trucks on the german market, especially if you are looking for a 3/4 ton.
There are more 1/2 tons but I need the bigger payload.

On the first picture is our house. some parts of it are about 400 years old and were restoring it since 4 years. Hattstedt is a small village in the northern part of germany at the northsea, only 30 Miles south of the border to denmark. The other pictures are taken at the Island of Nordstrand, wich is conected to the mainland with an embankment some dikes.

Ah I found your build thread.
really good looking truck and like wayne said, this forum is THE place for information!
I hope you don't mind but I followed the link from your pictures and went in your photobucket folder. I am very jealous! your interiour looks fantastic and I see you have factory airco and powerbrakes? (or is that standard in a C20)

Hello Steve,
my Pickup was ordered with powerbrakes and airco. I don`t know if that was standard.
Here is the interior for everyone:ito:

My C20 is back on the road!
It got a new driveshaft center support bearing, one new u-joint and the tailshafthousing of the transmission got a new bushing, output seal & housing mounting gasket.
Now the ticking noise at low speed and the squeak while backing up has gone:cool:

Do you know what kind of fuel mileage it gets with propane? I'm assuming it was probably getting 10-12mpg with gas.

That's a big difference in fuel prices!

I got about 12 mpg with normal fuel and 10-11 mpg with lpg.
