Noob - 66 C20

Hey everyone, what's up. New guy here, just picked up a 66 C20 flatbed. It has the 250ci with a 3 speed on the floor. As of right now plans are the bodyshop, then fixing minor things as I need to. It'll be my driver for now, unless I fix my s10 instead of selling it. So far, I know I need to swap the fuel pump and turn signal switch. Other than that, who knows. Getting all the patchwork done and then turning it to a rat rod look with my business name on the doors. I'm a woodworker by trade so this will work our well for deliveries and picking up materials.

He's already done a ton of work on it so it should be good to go. Debating on picking up a spare motor to build but we'll see what happens. Best part of the truck, it only cost me a grand!! :metal:

This has been ordered and will be here soon.

Plans for the truck have changed a little. I was going to have patches welded in and just drive it. Now I am sourcing a new cab for it and fenders and making it more of a project. Interior of the cab will get cleaned and painted and seat either redone or replaced. Going to end up with a rat rod look of matte black and red accents. I think I'm painting the interior all red though, with black dash and seats. And then my business name and logo in red and white lettering on the doors and scuffed down to look old and worn. It'll be spring before any major updates probably.

lol. It will be for a little while. Winter is on its way and if I don't start the cab work in time I won't be updating until Spring of next year. But I can always do patch work. lol Never to cold for that.

Sounds like me with mine. I'm on the lookout for a replacement cab now. It'll be cheaper than paying a bodyshop to weld in all new panels.

That power book came in the mail yesterday, a ton of good info there. Thanks for the recommendation!

Awesome! I think you got the newer 2nd edition than the one I have....does yours have the engine with the chevy script on the front cover? That's Leo's engine. Great guy.

It's the 2nd edition. Looking forward to diving into it! Now I need to sell some more stuff so I can order parts. Need to find a cab first though! Any thoughts on that? Got a spare?? Haha
