New Guy Here w/ a 65 Suburban!
Alright so I just picked up a 65 Suburban! She's definitely a little rough, but I fell in love the moment I first saw her. I'm new to old Chevy's (been working on old VWs for years), so expect to see plenty of ?s from me!
Someone has turned her into a 4x4 on a new frame, and put a (I believe) mid 70s small block 350 motor in her. It's running great right now, and after tearing it down and making sure that everything looks good in the engine I'll be restoring Betty on the weekends. I'm thinking of fixing the critical rust, but just throwing a clear coat over the current "patina", while fixing up the engine and doing the interior as well. http://i.imgur.com/rwnAXoC.jpg http://i.imgur.com/nGagqnt.jpg http://i.imgur.com/PqnZdmg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/UhrJx5F.jpg http://i.imgur.com/DezPHwu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Bco2uHY.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VS9dKpa.jpg |

Welcome to the forum :D
Hopefully whoever did the body/frame swap did a good job of fabricating the body mounts. |

Welcome to the world Suburbans. Your going to get a lot of comments on it from people who have owned them to people who used to use them at their work.
I enjoy it at every show I go to. Good luck with your Sub. |
