Brake squeaking

The front brakes on my 98 burb are squeaking. Here's what I've done.
I replaced the pads and rotors about 3 months ago and they were fine. I didn't spend for the top of the line stuff from NAPA but got the mid priced stuff as I usually do.
So they started squeaking when nearing a stop after about 1000 miles. Over the weekend I removed the calipers and greased the slides again. That stopped the squeak for a couple days and now it's back, Not as bad but it's back.
I did use the squeak stop spray and sanded the edge of the piston clean when I put the pads in originally.
Everything else appears ok, rotors are nice and smooth and no other obvious problems.
I'm not a real brake expert but have done many sets over the years and this one has me stumped. Any suggestions ?

My buddy with a shop told me to stay away from NAPA pads unless they are the top priced ones. I've never had luck with the spray on/glue type backing plate anti squeak, grease like used on the pins always works better for me.

I'll try the grease on the back of the pads. I know what he means about the budget pads, these are leaving dust all over my rims. I've only had that with the cheapest ones before. I'll probably just buy new pads- even though these only have a few thousand miles on them. I'm already tired of washing the wheels.

Might want to look at the ceramic pads. Put a set on my Suburban recently and MUCH less dust that before. It is pet peeve of mine too.
