Does that really say DARK OLIVE & MED BLU?

Ad says truck originally green, po painted over with white/yellow. No worries, but the SPID floored me. Unless, of course, my eyes are playing tricks on me. The code is hard to read, but looks like 556, which is a dk olive over med olive RPO. But the wording sure looks like BLU to me... Misprint perhaps. Who knows. I see no trace of blue. Anyway, interesting.

Could you order any exterior color combo you wanted? I know you could order any interior color regardless of the exterior color- remember seeing a hugger orange & green interior combo on ebay once (it was on the spid that way). SS Tim may know

I'm betting misprint. I think an olive n blue two tone would have been special paint on spid, wouldn't have had a code

Well, since the truck was repainted yellow & white and the interior paint color is still Medium Olive and not Dark Olive, I'd say it's a misprint. That would sure be a freak if it really was ordered that way.

Concur - there were limits on what paint combos could be ordered via RPO. Outside that got a special paint code. Assuming a misprint also. Still, kinda neat to see it like that, like a two-headed penny or something. Imagine if the ultimate purist got a hold of it and insisted on painting to match the SPID no matter what it said!!
