Will it hurt to drive it?

We didn't have time to go through and change everything in the new ECM last night. The new one came from an '03 Tahoe with a 5.3/4L60. I have the 4L80 in the truck. Will it hurt to drive it a little without the ECM being reprogrammed for the 4L80?

Hmmm, I wonder if it will limp into 2nd? Or will it just stick in 1st.

I guess I should have worded the question a little different. I wasn't asking if I could drive it to town or go for a cruise in it. I just meant to move it around to do a few more things instead of having to push it.

I love my truck so much I would carry if I could.
My wife & I pushed the truck out of the garage & back in at the end of the night for at least 3 months straight on my 5 1/2 month frame off slash ls swap & she never complained she as in my truck that is :chevy:

If you unplug the transmission connector, it should stay stuck in second when you shift to Drive, and Reverse will work normally.

You can move it around, until you get a segment swap done on the ECM. I would limit the use though. or as suggested, unplug the trans wires.
