I bought the truck from a farmer about a month ago. it was abandoned in a field as rats had chewed the wires clear to the firewall. originally the farmer had a flatbed on it, but I am changing that to a longbed after the motor swap. here is how it looked when I found it.

but on a more serious note, I built this for it. ls427. gmpp new block, lunati sledgehammer forged stroker crankshaft, lunati forged h beam rods/arp 2000 rod bolts, probe forged longskirt pistons, lunati voodoo camshaft and springs, ported and polished 243 heads, ls6 aluminum intake, e85 injectors, big bore throttle body and maf, stainless steel headers, flowmasters... etc etc. conservatively... 490-500hp.

I like how you did that fuel line bracket/conversion. Really interested to see where the rest of this project goes

I do not like that fuel line set up at all. Compression fittings do not belong on cars.

I would recommend a double wall flare at the minimum. Or consider running new lines from the tank to the engine. They are probably rusty anyway.

It should be a cool little truck when you get it all done.

its a fairly mild build. truck is staying stock looking. but new paint and it already has a nice interior. I want it all to function the way it is supposed to from the factory, so I will be putting time into the ls conversion for the gauges and ac and so on. just want a nice daily driver out of it. ls427 engine, 4l80e trans, bw4401 transfer case, 14bff rear axle, 9.25ifs front axle. front and rear e lockers, sitting on 33" mudders.

I have never had any issues with the compression fittings EVER. but I do appreciate your concern. happy motoring.
