1971 differential bearings? - help needed
My truck is a 1971 with a 12-bolt differential. The SPID lists G80 rear positrac axle.
I want to change the rear wheel bearings, seals and the pinion oil seal and would like to use the best quality products available. I have heard great things about Timken products. Been looking around on the Internet and been to NAPA etc but I could use some advice on getting the correct parts. The guy at NAPA wasn't clear on what I needed. Rockauto lists the bearings for a DANA/Spicer rear end (#387A) and also the Timken (SET36) with no diff manufacturer listed. Are these correct for my differential? Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

I like RockAuto, but you need to know exactly what you need/want. The link above is good and use the phone to call them, tell them what you have, and place your order.
The 12 bolt is NOT the Dana Axle. |
