Gas Tank for Lowered or Bagged Suburbans
I've keep getting leaks coming from my tank where I'm apparently scraping it. As of now I have a 87-G20 tank out of a conversion van. I'm running a 5.3 and my fuel pump is in the tank like it was back in 87, of course it's a stronger pump for the 5.3.
Any recommendations on different tanks that will tuck up in there better? |
Re: Gas Tank for Lowered or Bagged Suburbans
When i was putting my truck together, i was going to have the same problem, and no matter how much i looked, i could never find a gas tank that would work. So i'm building one from scratch. So that or modifying your current one (if you can) is about the only option, sorry i wish there was another option.

Fix it or replace it and put a skid plate on it.... LockDoc |

1X1 square tube and 1/8 inch plate would do it. The Blazer tank might work for you the smaller gallon one. The EP 381 pump [if that is what you have] would go right in

Thanks, I thought I saw someone on here selling skid plates at one time, but I can't find the post. |

Thanks guys, tried to patch the pin point hole and now it's a lot bigger!! Looks like a new tank is the only option. and a skid plate.
