Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
$14k for a former fleet truck? It is a nice truck but the wanted price is a little out there.

Here is a similar one
It is a 3 speed on the column and 4x4 Oh and the price is a little more:smoke: You can still dream http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/5261503408.html |
Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
Save up your money and find a better deal.
I saw a dream truck of mine a couple of days ago. 1 ton, 1972 stepside, 4 speed manual. 10K. I have spent that much this summer on my house, truck, and guns. If I buy another truck it will be lwb or a panel/burb. I'll have to rent some garage space though. |
Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
Beautiful truck there. I bet the owner gets close to the asking price.

Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
thats pretty!
live the dream |
Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
You're not gonna let 14K stand between you and your dream truck are you? It if helps, it looks like it is fairly priced.

Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
$14k doesn't seem bad.
Seems lately people would be asking $28k (or $140k). K |

I've been watching this one since April/May. when the seller first listed it he was asking 14k and in this ad he wants 17k. I would like to know what the rationale is by not selling the truck at 14k why raise the price 3000.00.

nice truck for the price

Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
14K isn't bad for a nice swb anymore, 5 years from now that would be 20k all day long.
|
Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
I love that truck and I read $14k and it goes into my head as $12k. Isn't that how everyone else thinks when they see a listing.
Often, if you raise your price it will find more buyers. The ones who figured it wasn't as nice with the asking price down lower. I raised the price of my '71 wrecker $1,000 and sold it right away. |
Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
I think his price is not out of line. of course I would be wanting to buy it closer to $8500, but that's just me.
You could always buy a $3500 starter truck, spend two years of your life & $9,000 getting it to look like this one. It's all about supply and demand. Right now the supply (folks who got em) know that the market (us) demand (want) em. These trucks have never been hotter than right now. Will it last? I don't see it dropping off tomorrow, ??? |

so I say we go after what's not hot right now, um I predict used Soccer Mom Vans like the Chrysler Caravan (First Gen only of course) will be desirable next, just think 2.5 L Turbo I4 TURBO, yes it does say Turbo twice on the Wiki, LOL, jk |
Re: My Dream Truck Is On Craigslist
Those are nice trucks. But Id'd not buy anywhere near that price without AC. Just me and where I live (inside an oven, it seems).

When I got this one I was just looking for a 67-72 to street rod...had no idea I would come across one so original to cut up...
