Whos running "Hurricane" style wheels.

I've started liking the look of the vintage "Turbine" or "Hurricane or Turbo Vec" style wheels more and more. I would love to see some pics of who's running these style wheels or similar vintage mag wheels. :bo2:

These are the ones I'm looking at for my 2wd stepper hope they will work. Wish the rears were a little wider but I like the look.

Re: Whos running "Hurricane" style wheels.
Here are a couple of older pics with the turbine style wheels. The truck has rally wheels on it now.

Re: Whos running "Hurricane" style wheels.
I dig old school wheels as well. Here's a staggered set of Western Wheels Cyclone II's that I sold a couple months ago. The 15x10 rear wheels didn't have enough backspace and would stick past the fender on my '72 which wouldn't work since I want to lower the truck. Something to consider if you want to lower your rig as well.
http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...e/IMG_4631.jpg FWIW these wheels went by a number of names and were sold by a handful of manufacturers back in the day such as Appliance, Keystone, Diamond, American Racing, Wolfrace, etc. As I recall, the "hurricane" style wheel is different and has multiple small spokes like the original Cyclone wheel as shown below. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t...950768a4_b.jpg |

Attachment 1461880 I too like these wheels. I have a set ready ,but can't seem to muster the funds for tires. I had started a thread on these style of rims. That's what was (cool) then, and I still like them.So I'm in for some pics with these trucks running them! http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=650407 |

I used to run 8.25s on my '72 GMC. These are the stronger type like you have. I had a set on my '90 Blazer, too (10")

Awesome pics! I have always loved the old school turbines and aluminum slots on these trucks. I'm looking for a set for my 70 C30 Longhorn..

I had same wheels as pictures #6 & 11. I also color matched the "fins" I thought it looked awesome. Still do as a matter of fact.

Re: Whos running "Hurricane" style wheels.
I took too long to edit that post...as always. I wanted to show this picture more than any other and just came across it. It was right after I brought them back from fuglysville. This was with other pictures of the '72 at that time, so might as well post one
