Pace performance fitech fuel injection

Any of you guys since or purchased this kit? Really interested in it and would like to know if anyone has installed it yet. Came out this summer from what the company says and some guys on the vette forums said its doing well.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection

Glad I saw your post, I was just about to buy a $920 TBI package on ebay that consists of a GM ECM, throttle body and harness. I cant see spending $2500 on a Holley or Edelbrock kit when I can pick up a entire LQ9 6.0L for a bit more $. I just contacted Pace to see if that FiTech kit will work with my 700R4 trans TV cable. I'm waiting for the tech to emailme back. Looks like it has a "holley" style throttle linkage which would be perfect for me since I'm using a TVmadeEZ kit for a holley. If it will work I'm gonna give it a try. TTT

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection

From what I've read, on a corvette forum, the guy had no issue with his linkages, including his kickdown cable. Try to talk to Ken supposedly he is the guy to talk to for tech questions from what I've read of course

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection

Several guys on chevelles.com have it up and running- when I looked a couple of weeks ago everyone was very impressed with the set up.
Differently worth considering in my book

I too am interested in this new efi. I read some about it at FI Tech.com. Last night i did a little looking at fuel injection systems through Summit. Good grief! Some of those big name units are over $5000. Not for me.
This Fi Tech system sure sounds more reasonable. I want to see some real world reports from users, problems, etc.

I wanna purchase it but I'm in the process of. Building my engine so I won't need it for a while. It would be awesome if they'd give the forum a discount since there's a few of us that can review and "promote" there products

I'm hoping to buy this system before the price goes up. They can hardly keep them in the shelf

I've yet to read any poor reviews

:four:Order placed. Now lets see how long it takes to arrive. Pics and review to follow. I'm pretty positive the in line fuel pump they sell is just a $90 Walbro GSL392 so I will save some money and put together the fuel system myself since I already have the correct fuel filters. Hardest part of this job will be installing a return line to my tank but that shouldn't be a big deal. Now I gotta get my lazy butt outside and get the return line installed before the FI arrives.

This is why I love this site! Lol

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection

FIRST is another option you might want to look into. This is the route I went last year and I'm very pleased with the unit. I've now got over 7000 trouble free miles. I think I have about $2000 in this. What make this TPI different than the factory unit? It will support about 500hp.

You can see more photos on my build thread below.

That Pace system looks fairly doable for most of us out here. Simple and install figured out in advance.

I will be looking into this into the future.

Well pulled the trigger and ordered one think it would be better suited for the 4x4

I'm really interested on how the install and performance work out for you. This may be what I'm looking for, for my 69 Camaro.

Placed the order Friday and received the kit on Monday. Still waiting for my fuel system to arrive. Turns out my fuel filters won't work with EFI so I endend up buying the inline fuel pump kit from FiTech after figuring out it would only save $30 buying everything from Summit or Ebay. Hope to have everything by this weekend. After the kit arrived I did receive an email from FiTech stating the throttle linkage is a "Holley" style linkage and it will work with my Bowtie Overdrive TVmadeEZ TV cable kit.

In the meantime here are some pics of the kit.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection

I installed an MSD Atomic throttle body fuel injection kit on my Blazer a while back. No negative reviews, all positive when it first came out too, but now you can find a bunch. I suspect the same will happen with this set up once people install them and have a chance to get a few miles on them. My MSD Atomic now works as it should controlling my timing, fuel mix, and fans, but it took the installation of an in-tank fuel pump, locked out dizzy, ignition box, and two software updates from MSD to get there. I hope this kit gets it right straight out of the box.

EFIkit was $1100 after tax & shipping.
Inline Fuel Pump kit. $290 after tax & shipping.
I could have saved $20 in shipping had I orderd them at the same time.

I'm gonna sell my near new Holley to recoup some funds and offset the cost.

Lifetime warranty on electronics. Hope there is no bugs but at least there is a warranty.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection

Would a system like this work on an LS based engine? Say you have a carb style intake but toss this up on it and run your coils with custom wires to somewhere out of the way, back of the engine etc. That way for the casual looker when the hood is popped they think it's a carbed small block. Would this control the ignition on an LS or are you looking at two different controllers? Seen a bunch of engines set up similar and I kind of like the sneaky look.
