Looking for a tie rod bar
I need a 69-72 4wd tie rod bar. Mine is bent and I need to replace it.

Re: Looking for a tie rod bar
hard to tell from the pic but it looks like you have an open knuckle front diff. 69 was closed knuckle with drum brakes, 70 was open knuckle drum brakes, 71 on up was open knuckle disc brakes. which one do you have ? i have one from a 72 low mileage blazer, $100.00 shipped in a pvc tube.

Good question, however, I have no idea. How can I tell? We do have disc brake kit on it.

Correct, not the original owner. The axle is stamped 44-5F. Yes, it looks like open knuckle.

Re: Looking for a tie rod bar
thats just a casting number, the numbers you are looking for are stamped into the axle tube--and are very small.

Re: Looking for a tie rod bar
1969 Blazers had an open knuckle from the factory to my understanding.
