Junkyard brake pedal boxes?

I've got my hydroboost out of the truck for rebuild and while I'm here, I'm thinking about putting the booster / master under the hood instead of on the frame.
Any junkyard brake pedal brackets that don't take too much modification to hang in a '57?
"Universal" fit after market units that fit pretty close?
I could spend the $150 for a custom fit model but would rather not. $$ has plenty of more important uses at the moment.

Hahahaha that's *your* firewall. We don't want to think about *mine* at all.
I've still got rust holes and my ambitions for this truck don't extend to "pretty" - so I'd kind of just like to move the plumbing & hardware to somewhere more accessible. Ideally, sure, I wouldn't need to touch this stuff very often in the first place: but this is far from an ideal world and this build is far from perfect.

Re: Junkyard brake pedal boxes?

I used the pedal from a 2003 Silverado. The pedal itself had a cross tube with plastic bushings already on it and mounts using a long bolt and nut. For the mounting plates I just used 16 ga. flat stock which I welded to both the fire wall and the dash support. Have a look at post #221 of my build thread, For the push rod I used a rod end located in the same location as the Silverado push rod. Had my MC been set up the normal orientation I think I could have used the donor push rod. Now I also had to clip the pedal itself but my column is a bit lower then most (COE).

I bought pedal setup from a jeep TJ for my 54. Off hand looks like. Great fit with pretty much no modifications needed. I got it off eBay for 20 bucks.
