kick panel speaker holders
2 Attachment(s)
I recently bought a set of kick panel speaker holders and am having some fitment issues. The passenger side apparently has to modified to fit for the ac, but the driver side doesn't fit well either. It sits dang close to the e brake pedal. I don't think I can get a speaker in there. I also ordered some rockford fosgatet1650 6.5 inch speakers, and they are .5 inches too wide. Anyone else run into these issues?

Re: kick panel speaker holders
You can trim them down on the top and use fiberglass mat to make new screw holes.
Or just bulldog glue them after you cut them down |
Re: kick panel speaker holders
I removed the parking brake pedal from the lever and repositioned it more to the right to clear my kick panel speaker. I added a little gusset under the pedal to give it support since it was no longer centered on the lever. Had to do a little modification to the rubber pad and chrome trim to fit, but it works like a champ now.

I made some for my MBQuarts back in high skewel.
I prefer just the sound of the motor now. |
Re: kick panel speaker holders
Thanks for the e brake idea. I got that moved over. Anyone else have to trim down the passenger side one?

Re: kick panel speaker holders
I tried the same RF speakers, too big. I used Sony speakers and they fit well. My doors were already cut so I used the RF there with a RF 4 channel amp. Now the dang radio is going out, go figure.
