73-80 Narrow Tailgate Band
 

I recently traded for this new narrow Chevrolet tailgate band. I had planned on putting it on my 80 c10 but cannot bring myself to drill holes in my recently painted and lined tailgate. It is in excellent condition. It does not have the original packaging but I will ship wrapped and in a PVC tube. Asking 600.00 plus shipping

Put it on yours! It'd look great on there in my opinion, definitely a finishing touch especially since you have such a nice one to put on it.

There is no doubt in my mind it would look good. That was my plan from the day I started the build 3 years ago. Like I said I'm just having a hard time convincing myself to drill the holes. I'm afraid I'll mess it up and have more holes drilled in the end than I need. If it doesn't sell I may reconsider at a later date.

To everyone who sells these, you have to ship them in a plastic tube. For the 2nd time I have received one bent from shipper using a cardboard tube.

Yea, I found 2 that was nice and still in my budget, and they both ended up like that. Lol. Guess our postal service don't want me to have one. Lol. Wish I had it in my budget to get yours

The first one I didnt, this just happened today. The shipper had insurance on it, so I should be ok. He is gonna get back with me

if you paid with credit card, do a chargeback....shipper responsibility to package it correctly.....

I have never had an issue shipping these and I put them in boxes. Most of the time, I used foam to wrap them and then tape a 1x3 board to them. It looks like your postal service is EXTREMELY hard on stuff! PVC tube is great for these narrow bands but if you ship a wide one that option goes out the window.

I always use the heavy cardboard "sonic tube" used for making cement posts
You can stand on them without them collapsing!
I buy them at Home Depot,
From 3" to 14" wide and the largest 14" one here that is 8' long is only 12 bucks
canadian each( so only 5 bucks US ...hahaha...Just kidding )

I have shipped even nos bumpers in the large ones.

Attach the tailgate band to a length of wood that is about a inch
Longer on both ends and have foam, etc, between the wood and
the tailgate band, that way even "if" the tube gets hit on the end,
It won't touch the tailgate band...

Dont ever ship any aluminum tail gate panels through the post office. Heres my recent arrival on a large one

Just dont use the post office. better packaging and use ups or fedex
