mounting bags on porterbuilt trailing arm
I have a non Porterbuilt C notch and a have standard firestone 2600 bags, not the sleeve style I see above the axle. I am waiting on my trailing arms to come in.
I want to mount them forward of the axle, but as close as possible. I am looking for a clean install. Thanks in advance for any pictures. |

Re: mounting bags on porterbuilt trailing arm
What year/model truck are you installing the PB Truck-Arms on? His arms locate the spring in the original location which is slightly in front of the rear axle unless you're purchasing one of the 'Extreme DM rear kits' (which does relocate & use sleeve type bags.

Re: mounting bags on porterbuilt trailing arm
I have a 66 swb with a big notch from suicide bro. I think I am going to mount in front of axle with a bag plate on arm and inner frame

Re: mounting bags on porterbuilt trailing arm
Again..... original placement is in front of the rear-end.
If you're trying to lay the frame on the ground by relocating the bags farther forward on the T/A & making new upper mounts inside of the frame, I would contact 'Porterbuilt Fab'. Get your info from the source. He would be the best guy to answer the question. Good luck.... |
