1/2 ton to dually conversion
Has anyone done this conversion or have some info regarding this conversion? I'd like to get a regular cab longbed and convert to an 8 lug dually front and rear. Ultimately installing adapters and semi wheels. I saw this on an 88-98 platform but don't have specific details on that one either. Thanks for any guidance available.

I don't have your answer, but on a similar note, would the 1 ton hubs bolt onto the 1/2 ton spindle so that the dually rims would fit?

Re: 1/2 ton to dually conversion
OK so the quick answer to just replacing the hubs is no... the 8 lug hubs have 4 bolt mounting and the 6 lug hubs have 3 bolt mounting. So that means replacing at the A Arms if that is possible.

I would think it would be easier to start with a 99-06 single wheel 2500 or 3500 longbed truck,... since it's so hard to find standard cab dually trucks.
(much easier than starting with a 1/2 ton truck). This is one of my favorite single cab duallys,... |

I've contemplated the same thing. Just trying to find one for the right price. Seems like when I wanted a shortbed everything was a long bed. Now I want a longbed and cannot find one.
