pedal to the metal boys!! { pedal question}
so for my 2003 yukon xl im parting out, [5.3 4l60 2wd] is there a tell tale that i can look for to see if my system is drive by wire or drive by cable?
something on the pedal maybe? theres a small harness connected to it |
Re: pedal to the metal boys!! { pedal question}
Check your throttle body for a wire connector or mechanical cable attachment, and look at the gas pedal. Does it have an electrical connection attached to it or a mechanical cable. If you see wires at either place, it's drive by wire. The '03 Yukon is most likely drive by wire

Re: pedal to the metal boys!! { pedal question}
Express vans are dbc in that year. You likely have a dbw. Good deal because cruise is easy and only takes two switches. One to enable it and another on-off-on momentary for set/resume and coast.

Re: pedal to the metal boys!! { pedal question}
I haz :lol: Actually it was the first LS I ever bought, and a version of its still in my truck now.
I didn't know how strange it was to find them until after I bought it. 2003.5 6.0, dbw, with van dipsticks etc, return rail, and a 2wd 4l80e....pretty much the best GenIII to stumble on |
