heater box question

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I needed to find pretty much every part for the heater in my 69 C10. They truck was an AC truck, but I don't have any of the parts ( switch panel, heater box, heater core, blower ). I was wondering if there are other years, even later square body heater boxes and parts that would fit a 69 just incase I'm at a junk yard and see some parts. Thanks for all the help!

Re: heater box question

Are you looking for A.C. or NON A.C. parts? I have a complete NON A.C. system that would work in your truck.
Let me know if interested.
Thanks, Mike.

Hey dude, I'm not sure if the square body parts are similar. From the looks of the LMC Catalog it shows most of the HVAC parts are similar from 67-72.

So it's safe to say they should all fit in the cab. Now there may be some differences in the compressor, AC lines, etc.

As far as the components in the cab should all be the same.

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd offer you my heater box etc, but I have a non AC cab and I belive the air box is different.

Hope this helps some.

Dave

Thanks, Mike.

AC or non AC, I'd be into either! I really just wanted to slowly start getting the parts sourced and put together so I can get a little heat going in the cab, haha and mainly defrost in the early morning commutes to work. I'd be into anything you'd have! Thanks for the responses everyone!

If you have a factory ac truck then you really want to stick with heater box that goes with that style especially if you have the ac box under the hood. The non ac trucks use a -different setup. and only. And only 67-72 will bolt in

The firewall is also different between the A/C and Non-A/C trucks so they are not directly interchangeable....

Here's a nice one with a good heater core, I removed from my 72 to install a vintage air system.
