Re: Even bigger air than before
It wont be around forever!
|
Re: Even bigger air than before
Yes ,I watched the Duke's but they destroyed a lot of Chargers .I just dont understand chancing destroying a nice old truck.
|
Re: Even bigger air than before
For heavens sake do the world a favor and go destroy an old ford. These trucks are way too cool to wreck like that.
|
Re: Even bigger air than before
Some would say destroying an old vehicle is never using it the way you want, driving it around town where there's a probability that you can be in an accident, or cutting the dash to put a modern stereo in.
These aren't rare birds by any means. I've seen no less than 20 different examples in the past 2 weeks. There's at least 15 not for sale running in my town, and another 10 or so rotting away in people's yards just within my city limits. I'm more concerned about the driver being safe, as it'd be pretty easy to get a concussion bouncing your head off the glass doing wild jumps like that. |
Re: Even bigger air than before
Just cuz Awesomeness! I was just showing a few buddies at work the last jump.
Anything can be fixed...time and money. Rock on! Should probably wear a helmet though:) |
Re: Even bigger air than before
It's your truck do what you want with it.
I aplaud you for doing it where nobody else was driving. |

No comment. "Mother always said if you can't say something nice",,,,,,,,,
Seriously though, your truck do what you want. We did some stu*id stuff as kids too. Keep copies of the video and pics of your jumps. Once it's wrecked and gone you can look back and remember old whitelightning fondly. Not ragging on ya. Rock on.:metal: |
Re: Even bigger air than before
yes!
|
Re: Even bigger air than before
I hit a bump like that every day going to work. I just hang on. Can't wait till I retire
|
Re: Even bigger air than before
I'm conflicted....
One part of me is all like :metal: And the other part is all like :whine: I'll be waiting for the "I got too much air today" video, then I'll probably  |
Re: Even bigger air than before
It is a closed off section it is your truck they made millions of them it isn't like it is rare, just old. Stay safe. You are the last you that was made.
P.S. I know some will be angered by the rare/old comment. C'mon guys some take this way too seriously. I treat mine differently than you do[by mine I mean the ones that have not yet been fixed] And there are all different stages of completeness, readiness, And worth [either to the owner or the public at large]. But most of all it sure looks like he is having fun with his truck. Isn't that one reason you have yours? |
Re: Even bigger air than before
I am like 67chevyredneck. I hate to see that, and love it at the same time. If you are going to jump it make the most of it and put Go Pro's on it so you can get some great up close views.

Re: Even bigger air than before
The truck really isnt that nice thats why I don't really care much about it. Its jumping days are probably done for now though. Seeing the rearend wobble like that in the air doesnt really give me much confidence in it anymore:lol:.

Re: Even bigger air than before
Might be time to change it's name from White lighting to TWISTED SISTER ?

Re: Even bigger air than before
Hey 12secondnova. I"ll be the last one to bust your balls about catchin a little air time in your ride. I've done the same thing, many of times, in trucks, cars,SUV's,bikes, motoX bikes, quads, and quite a few things that didn't have wheels, or were supposed to fly for that matter. So to you I say, "Nice Air!" and your a smart fellow for doing it in a safe (not public road) area. I will always recommend wearing a helmet. They've saved my noggin more times than I can count. I am disabled currently, have been since "02" when a 17 yr old girl was too busy carrying on with her 2 passengers, doing whatever in her car to keep her eyes on the road in front of her and see me on my soft-tail Harley sitting at the Stop-Line for the RED traffic light. Long story-short, She didn't even hit the brakes until after the impact. I never saw it coming,Who expects it to happen when your sitting still at a red light, in town. I was underneath the front end of a Ford Escort all the way up to my collar bone. the core support was on top of my ribs. I ended up with 29 broken bones, UN-countable fractures, 2 deep lacerations, and 2nd n 3rd degree burns on my legs and neck. Now with that being said, I'll say that had i NOT been wearing my full face helmet and my Leathers, things would have been allot worse. This wasn't my first serious motorcycle accident, but it has been the worst. I've had 7 different surgeries for reconstruction of my collar bone, rotatory cuff, both wrists, and a few others. I still have more to go as med. tech. advances. The moral of this story is, "You can never be too Safe!" There's nothing wrong with having a lil fun, and doing it safely just helps ensure that you'll be able to have more fun in the future. Nice Truck, Nice Air, n Nice Pic! Did you have the "DIXIE HORNS" playin while flyin, lol

Re: Even bigger air than before
Send it to GM, 45 years later and still flying high.

Re: Even bigger air than before
On one hand it just doesn't make any sense at all. But on the other hand that was me thirty five years ago!
