1966 P10 Step Van Restore Help Radiator Removal
5 Attachment(s)
I am Restoring this 1966 P-10 Step Van Bread Truck. I Can't get the radiator out to get at the water pump. I Need Help and suggestions please! I can't get it out the top because of the heater blower vent is in the way, and I can't get it out of the bottom because it's welded.. I have unbolted the six bolts that hold the radiator to the frame, so it moves around a bit. I started taking apart the frame bracket, but this is extremely difficult to get at the backing nuts. Has anyone ever pulled the Radiator out of a 1966 P10???
I have ordered the manuals, they won't get here until Saturday! |

Not sure, but a thought occurred to me, can you jack the front end up and pull it out the bottom after removal of the belts, fan and pulley's? Or maybe the engine needs to come out thru the cab first, then the radiator the same way?

Re: 1966 P10 Step Van Restore Help Radiator Removal
It was simple-take the metal brackets and sheet metal off the top-lots of sheet metal crews, and take the radiator out the top. Got mine running good, had to drop the tank again and fix the rear wiring harness run where the rat had chewed through. also, I have to yank the steering whell to fix the turn signal lever i busted off. so Fun to drive!!

Take the whole sheet metal off where the hood latch is-all those brackets.
