Hood bounces around
I tried searching, couldn't find anything. I have a problem where my hood on my truck bonces around on the corners near the fenders. I tried readjusting the latch to make the hood close farther down, but did not make a difference. The bounce is really bad if I am driving in the wind. I also tried adjusting the rubber stops on the core support, didn't help. Any suggestions?

Re: Hood bounces around
I'd start by checking the core support bushings and mounts. Things can get really moving if they are loose.

Bushing are new, bolts are tight.

Re: Hood bounces around
Do you have the rubber pieces that go between the fenders and hood? I just bought some off of here and it helped keep everything snug

What is the condition of your hinges?

Re: Hood bounces around
I thought that was a normal thing with these trucks. All the ones I have owned do exactly what you are saying. My wife always thinks I didnt latch the hood all the way. Curious to see if there is a fix.

Hood to fender rubbers in place Good hood hinges Those three things are key to a hood that doesn't flop. |
