Classic Heartbeat's 67-70 Gas Filler Grommet Prototypes are here!!

3 Attachment(s)
We just received 5 of our prototype gas filler grommets. They are exactly like the originals, only better!! We will be giving a "Lifetime" Warrantee with ours. Demand quality!! These will not degrade like all of the other reproductions on the market!! They will look as good as they do now, 10 years from now. Price? $9.95. Doing a test fit today and should be approving the run over the next day or two. Check them out for yourselves.. WES

Here one is next to a NOS GM piece... They look the same, they feel the same, and dimensionally they are the same. Ours has the date on it... WES

What's the difference in 71-72?

Would a 71 c20 without eec use this as well? It uses the same fuel tank as the earlier trucks.

I need a few. Can't wait to hear the results of the test fit and when you'll be offering a batch.

Btw what's the best way to install these?

Good job Wes!

I don't want to get into a pi**ing match with anyone but it surprises me that a moderator hasn't moved this thread to the For Sale section unless and I am being sincere here, a Gold Vendor gets to place ads in any thread.

These will be available in about a month. The test fit went well and I am going to approve for production. I will keep everyone posted. To answer the question about the non EEC tanks you need to measure the neck where the grommet seals. The 67-70 is 2" and the 71-72 is 1 1/2".

This is NOT a "For Sale" thread. It is simply a thread informing the many guys here that like me have had nothing but trouble with the cheap aftermarket grommets, to let them know the status of our quality grommet. Many people have been waiting a long time for these to come out and it is only to inform them when. WES

Well if I am not mistaken moderators usually call threads like this "Trolling" and move them or close them. I did ask if you being a Gold Vendor were allowed to post in any thread you wanted.

I would like to get a Moderators opinion on this thread.

Re: Classic Heartbeat's 67-70 Gas Filler Grommet Prototypes are here!!

I am sorry you think that. It is not. It is information only. The only reason that I brought up price was because any time that we come out with a product, I get inundated with pricing questions. Pricing also plays a large roll in whether or not I can afford to put out the capitol to manufacture the product. If nobody wants to purchase because the price is too high, then I waste capitol coming out with a part that is already available on the market today. I also do not know of any special regulations for the vendors here. I will contact Liz and see what she wants to do. WES

Actually trolling is when someone posts to cause discontent, which is what you are doing essentially. This thread is perfectly acceptable for a site vendor to post, just as it has been for years. Most members like to be informed of upcoming products. If you have a question on others postings, please use the report a post feature. Thanks.

This is a FYI thread and not a FS thread ... maybe that is why a moderator hasn't move this thread.

Already Gone ---- I might suggest in the future that if you see threads that you question - it would best to report them - than the mods will determine if there are issues. Thanks

Thank you for clearing this up. I wanted to be sure I wasn't breaking the rules. I am sorry it was done out in the open, but I felt that if the thread was questioned publicly it needed to be answered the same. Thanks for your hard work.. WES
