short fleetside wood bed?
since the search is down....
who out there makes a kit to build a wood bed for a short fleetside. all i can find is stepsides and long fleetsides. any websites that detail how to put one together? thanks. :burnout: |
I have yet to see one...I know mar-k does not sell one. You might be able to modify a 8 foot fleet kit to work on a short fleet bed.

Chris, I don't see any kits for 73-87 short fleetside beds there. Am I blind? :)

I put the wrong link there. I meant to put just the main page, my bad. At one time I remember them being able to offere that.

Chris is correct. Bruce Horkey offer's a "show" kit that allow's you to put a simulated wood bed over the top of your steel floor.
I have seen it, and it is awesome quality. I considered this for my 77, but all my buddies shot it down... :( |
screw what your buddies say.. WOOD BEDS RULE!!!!!
i definately dont want an overlay type thing no matter how nice it looks. Maybe ill just try modifying the longbed stuff. there will have to be a section cut out in the middle anyway for a nice big frame bridge. ill look into the longbed stuff.:burnout: |
They custom mill each one, so you can get it however you want it. Give them a call. They are very nice people, and more than willing to send free samples...
