sending unit solution

I bought dolphin gauges where the gas tank sending unit is 90 ohms instead of the 30 ohms used in a 1968 c10.

I am looking for a solution that does not require welding on the tank.

Has anyone removed the movable float part of the new sending unit & attached it to the 1968 sending unit thus keeping the original gas tube...
if so how did you do it

Thanks

Do you have your ohms backwards because the 68 C10 has a 90 ohm sending unit.

^^x2^^
VetteVet is 100% correct the 67up trucks use a 0-90ohm fuel sender, the 1966 and earlier trucks use a 0-30 ohm fuel sending unit.
