This is a set of lowering brackets for 1973 thru 1987 Chevrolet and GMC 1/2 ton truck, Suburban and full size Jimmy and Blazer. These brackets relocate the axle on top of the leaf springs, lowering the rear of your ride approx 5 inches. Quick, simple and inexpensive way to get down. New, $40.00 shipped for the pair. Not a dumb question at all. They definitely ride firmer after installing these. I think if you relocate the shocks it helps. Thanks, Fred.
