Anyone running QA1 shocks, or other adjustables?
 

As the title reads....anyone running QA1 shocks on their 67-72 trucks?I've found that not only do they offer their base non-adjustable Stocker Star shocks for '67-72 C10's... they offer single and dual adjustable models and now even a Drag "R" model is available for the front. Anyone running them? I was surprised to see they offer up a full set of options for these trucks.

For the front I'm looking at the double adjustable TD405's:

wondering how they measure up and if the double adj. are worth the extra bucks versus the single adjustable shock on the rear. I'm guessing its a noticeable difference in front between the two...or especially when compared to a non-adjustable.

Or are there any other quality adjustable shocks out there that fit our trucks?

I run the single adjustable Qa1 up front and only complaint I have is I should spent the money and got double adjustable. They are a great shock.

I ran the stocker star single adjustable in the front on my truck for a few years. They worked well. Depends on desired et's, speed, etc. If it is a street/strip truck, no problem. Mine was a little over the top from the start and could have benefitted from a better front suspension combo, which I had built later. Double adjustable shocks are worth the money in the rear. I don't have any experience with their product on the rear suspension to be of any help to you there. The double adjustable will allow you to control the tire/suspension to accomplish multiple things.

sounds like the way to go then. allowing me to fine tune for the race track and autocross course with the same suspension setup sounds like what I need. I'm also planning on the no limit r&p setup to steer/handle better while removing weight from the front end.

BR3W....you running those proma stars with coils on a '72 ifs?

Just the shock body, I'm still running an external spring. I'll switch to a longer-body full coil setup eventually but I'm waiting for *certain people* to finish *certain parts*....it'll change the whole front. Right now I've got the ~8-11" short body ones.

Im running the QA1 Coil overs, and A-arms on a Gen2 Camaro front clip on my '57. I have ran the QA1 setups both front and rear on many different car configurations and they are unbeatable for the price. Basically once you start redoing these trucks and lightening them and such, they are 'cars' for all intents and purposes....

God choice to go with.
