relocating booster and master cylinder...
 

whats up guys.. looking at possibly relocating the booster/mc theres not much out there as far as pics and info.. has anybody here done it before...any help or info is greatly appreciated

Are you talking about street rod style under the truck? lot of extra stuff involved in doing that such as residual valves and stuff like that I'd think there is more room where you have it now as compared to under the truck. not to mention working out the pedal pivots to have it under there. Jim

I guess the idea is aesthetics? I imagine the linkage would be unsightly unless you put it inside the cab. Interesting idea, but not certain its a good one. Car makers do things a certain way because they learned over time. The MC is in front of the driver today on pretty much all cars/trucks. The MC was under the truck in the 50s and they moved it. Why? Because it was easier, cheaper, and more reliable.

You need to convert forward pedal movement to rearward (I'd guess). A bit more complicated than a simple forward motion.

If you feel you're a better engineer than the rest of the world over the last 115 years, have at it.

This is sort of like the posts about "I converted to a pushbutton start--it doesn't work--why?"

Trying to go for a clean look...ive found a underdash kit thats pretty sweet..it looks to be easier than an underfloor mount...
