Stepside Backup lights
Has anyone with a stepside, or anyone else for that matter, either experimented with back up lights or considered it?
I am replacing (?) my round tail lights on my build with some horiz. mounted Oval tail lights (think of something similar to a motorcycle style light). I am trying to decide if I want to include back up lights---well, I know I want to, but the original backups are 3" dia. and the bracket is about twice the size as the tail light bracket. I could have changed brackets (if Id had the forethought to do it before paint), but with everything painted my only option would be to modify the original bracket somehow----But first I need to find some kind of suitable light fixture. The other option is to just not run any at all. Id love to see some pics of some interesting options. |

My truck did not have back up lights when I bought it, but the wiring was there. I hooked up some bullet type led lights mounted to the frame using existing holes. I will have to move them if I decide to install a rear bumper.

I checked both of the sites I buy a lot of stuff and didn't find the source. They were meant for motorcycles.
