rear cab cross member
hi all i was going to leave the xmember at the rear of the cab in place on my bagged 49, and use a split prop to get round it during the drop, but ive now changed my mind i think and want to cut a section from the centre of the xmember to allow for a single piece prop, can i see pic's of how others have modified theirs please! its just visible under the rear of the cab

Re: rear cab cross member
That's a heck of a lot of extra effort to go to just to run a 1 piece driveshaft. I can never understand why guys are so blooming afraid of 2 piece driveshafts as long as they are done right.
If you go ahead and go one piece I'd say weld in a piece that resembled a driveshaft hoop on a race car in the area you cut out and then cut a notch in the front of the box and do something similar and then on the back of the cab. |
