1976 454 heat riser tube
Hello all,
I have a 1976 GMC suburban with the 454 engine and need the factory heat riser tube (goes between the exhaust manifold stove to the snorkel of the air cleaner). Does anyone know the GM delco part # or if it is made in the aftermarket? |

Thanks a lot for your input.
The tube I need has the same function as what you mentioned, but is different. The one I need is a rigid metal tube with a tab tack-welded to it. This tab has a hole that allows it to be attached to the cylinder head using a small bolt. |
Re: 1976 454 heat riser tube
I have never seen a factory replacement, or an aftermarket reproduction.
I had a 78 with a similar set up and had to go with the solution presented by Matt Man(although at the time I didn't have the world at my fingertips via the internet like we do now). |
Re: 1976 454 heat riser tube
Thanks for the info. I may have to see if I can find a good used one of if one off an El Camino (with a 454) would work.

I bought one of these tubes for a 1980's 454 truck but it did not fit.
