S10 Salvage
 

Can't find a WC T5 tranny for my 50. Ran across a guy that has an 89 V6 5Speed with mechanical speedo that runs and drives. I have not seen or driven but think I can pick it up for 750.00

i am not interested in a frame swap, but wondering what all I can use off of this thing and what other stuff might salvage for.

Would like to be in to the tranny for no more than 250.00 What do you guys think about the value of the complete truck minus the tranny?

Is the steering stuff adaptable? Already have a disc brake 8.8 for the rear, but just tossing this around

I could see it if you planned to use the engine and then had time to sell off the S-10 either as a unit or a piece at a time.

Right now for just the trans I think I would want to expand my search area by a hundred or two hundred miles. Or use a source like this to hunt one down http://www.usedpartscentral.com/search_new_mexico.htm
