Upper Fender Bolt size
 

Working on a 56 and was wondering if someone knows the bolt size that attaches the upper fender to the cab?

on my 57, the bolts the hold the top of the fender to the cab cowl area are 3/8 UNF (fine thread). not sure of the length. just be sure that the cowl area is original because the new aftermarket body parts that I welded in for that area that have those attachment nuts are 3/8 UNC (course thread). it would be a great idea to chase the threads with a tap before installing the bolts for the final time but be sure to check what actual thread you have there. lots of funny stuff has happened to these old beauties over the years.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if they are 3/8 24 or 3/8 32?
