Is it expensive compared to normal thread 1x 2x 3x the cost? |

That could make a plain seat really cool looking.

Re: Something different for the custom guys
Looks to be about $25.00 a small spool . that's cheap some of the new super high performance threads are over $110.00 But guaranteed to out last the material used to build the seats !
the price of upholstery supplies has gone freaking crazy in the last few years glue used to be $26.00 now over $125.00 for 5 gallons good Vinyl used to be $7.50 now it's over $20.00 a yard Sew foam used to be $50.00 now it's over $180.00 for 20 yards i used to sell a basic pleated truck seat cover for $200.00 installed fixing the springs and foam ,Now it's over $400.00 +:smoke: |

And all that stuff is made from petroleum.
The prices have been slow to come back down. |
Re: Something different for the custom guys
I've only seen the cost of fuel drop. Everything that went up claiming it was due to fuel prices it as much or more still.
Personally, I'd want the better quality thread on custom upholstery more than a gimmick thread. |
Re: Something different for the custom guys
I agree with you there Special-K about oil and gas, gas is about the only thing that's came down, why hasn't a quart of oil came down.. let me guess a barrel of oil has to be down for quite a while before it comes down...so they say...don't get me started LOL?
