New Bed Sides Weight

Anyone got the weight of the new fleetside short wheel base sides? I may be interested in going that route with my truck and getting away from the stepside. Thanks.

Thanks for the answer, but not really what I was looking for. My question was about weight, not sources to buy.

OK, let me rephrase the question-

Which is heavier, a fleet side bed or a step side bed? Short wheel base if that matters.

They are about 80# a side, if I had to hazard a guess the bed would be 150# plus heavier then a stepside , with the extra wood and metal.

Re: New Bed Sides Weight

Looking in a 1965 Chevy truck Data book it says for "Curb Weight" the rear of a 1965 C10 short fleetside is 1405 Lbs and a Stepside short bed is 1395 lbs . This looks like they did this without a rear bumper and without a side mount spare tire. Total weight Fleetside 3330 and Stepside 3300 . So a stepside truck is 30 LBs lighter.

I spoke to Dewayne at Insane hotrods, he said about 80# each.
