what to do with wires in engine compartment

I have an '87 GMC. Last yea, i pulled the stock 305TBI and went back with pre-87 engine, carb. No computer! I have simply left the wiring harness in the engine compartment. I am ready to cleanup the compartment of off the wires and harness. What are some ideas of how to do this? I don't think I want to cut the harness coming out of the firewall, but I'm not sure. Any ideas/suggestion???

Mike

I ran my starter and heater control wires down on the transmission. The headlight wires I am installing now run along the driver fender, then I am going to push them through the core support and hang them with hangers just under the top of the support. Real clean look

I assume you are asking mostly about the tbi harness . Anything about the tbi harness can be removed . The harness goes thru the fire wall to the computer and is independent to anything else . Its just behind the pass head . Anything attached to that harness can be removed . There is nothing you will need going to a carb . Just remove and plug the firewall with some kind of plug

I have just removed the tbi harness from my 87 Suburban and know exactly what you are talking about.
I traced every wire comming out of the bulkhead connector going to the TBI harness.
I kept the purple starter wire, pink ignition wire, and red fuse box power wire and cut the rest. Most of those wires supply power to various TBI sensors (Iac, tps, etc.), and wires for gauges.
Black wire with white stripe is a ground wire.
