Parking brake using Lokar cables

My '64 only has the parking brake handle (under dash) with the cable that goes through floorboard, nothing else. Would I be able to buy this: Amazon.com: Lokar EC-80FU Universal Emergency... Amazon.com: Lokar EC-80FU Universal Emergency... and connect all together for a functioning ebrake? I thought about piecing together a '67 style ebrake, but the Lokar set looks easier and cleaner.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I am not positive about the Lokar, but you are going to need the cable braces if you plan to do the 66 & newer e brake cables. For the 65 there is a cross member you need for the cables. I don't have access to my photos where I am at now, but hopefully some one else can chime in/show you what you need besides the cables.

The braces are another reason why I am looking at the Lokar set. It looks like going aftermarket may be the only viable option.

I think I have it all figured with the last two posts! Now to spend some money.
