AUX Batt tray..
Hi.
I need an aux/left-side/driver-side batt-tray for my 1981 Silverado. Is there a better quality than LMC out there? Any OEM? Can someone recomend a source? Thank you. |
Re: AUX Batt tray..
I just orderd a rh side tray and drilled the spotwelds out for base and bent some 1/4" x 1" and welded it to the tray. Rh one was easy to find and fairly cheap so I made it work

Re: AUX Batt tray..
It is still possible to get good used battery trays on Ebay. Also, some aftermarket trays are powder coated.

Re: AUX Batt tray..
Anybody used an LMC out of curiosity? How are they/how do they compare to OEM?

Re: AUX Batt tray..
In all honesty, just find the cheapest China tray out there. LMC, Brothers, Classic Ind, Pauls, whatever. It's just a battery tray, it's not a body panel or a door. Otherwise, check the junkyards. I got my Blazer tray that way, also sold one too and they still seem popular enough to find more. My 68 has an aftermarket tray and it's plenty stout if that's what you're worried about.

Re: AUX Batt tray..
I've got an Aux battery tray from LMC that haven't installed yet.
Was going to move my battery while I'm doing my LS swap, but changed my mind. Seems to be good quality, it's pretty heavy and not flimsy at all.. |
Re: AUX Batt tray..
Junkyard anything diesel will have one.
