'just heard of this and it sure sounds like it would do the trick for an old dull lens until you win the lottery

give them a good cleaning and rinse and shoot them with some Clear paint from a spray can

I think new ones are like $10. However I prefer original GM whenever possible. Mine are shiny but all cracked so I may have to do this soon.
